This Furoshiki pattern from typical Karacho Hangi motifs that has been handed down for many years. It is glittering shine of mica printing on furoshiki. Please use Furoshiki and Fukusa also for gift.


Karacho (Karakamiya Chouemon) established in 1624. It has been passed down only through the Karakami workshops until now. Karakami made by the Hangi, generation after generation are used for sliding screen doors and wallpaper. It has a famous use in historical buildings like sliding screens of Katsura rikyu (an Imperial villa in Kyoot) and the Nijo castle. More than 650 patterns of hangi can be postcards or lamp shades; a new representation for a modern lifestyle.
