The traditional tea ceremony is referred to as “Rikyu-cha.” Several similar names of this Rikyu color are “Rikyu nezu,” “Rikyu shiracha,” and “Ai Rikyu.”

Uzura Chirimen

Traditional “Chirimen” are woven with a right twist and then a left twist of two woof yarns. The special “Uzura Chirimen” features four woof yarns thus giving an even fluffier touch and an elegant glossy surface.

In regards to color, this silk series features colors that can also be used for formal situations. For congratulatory events, women traditional wear green where as the man wears purple. For events of mourning, people traditionally choose purple or other dark colors. The color purple is considered a noble color and thus suitable for formal occasions.
