Product Description
“Fuji Iro” is from the wisteria color family. Wisteria is Fuji in Japanese. “Fuji” represents flowers scattering in the wind. This color is used in the fashion layering known as “Kasane no Irome.” It is the idea of layering robes to produce specific colored patterns. It has been a popular fashion choice from the Heian Period.

Uzura Chirimen
Traditional “Chirimen” are woven with a right twist and then a left twist of two woof yarns. The special “Uzura Chirimen” features four woof yarns thus giving an even fluffier touch and an elegant glossy surface.
In regards to color, this silk series features colors that can also be used for formal situations. For congratulatory events, women traditional wear green where as the man wears purple. For events of mourning, people traditionally choose purple or other dark colors. The color purple is considered a noble color and thus suitable for formal occasions.
