70 KARACHO Silk Jacquard
One of the most popular patterns of the Karacho brand “Shida Sakura”. It is actually a list of family heads shown in chronological order. It has an original color scheme that is a special pattern - we call it Karacho XI and XII color scheme. The color is made by the rare technique of a jacquard (embroidered) pattern. We hope that you enjoy the high quality texture of the silky cherry bloosom texture.
Karacho (Karakamiya Chouemon) established in 1624. It has been passed down only through the Karakami workshops until now. Karakami made by the Hangi, generation after generation are used for sliding screen doors and wallpaper. It has a famous use in historical buildings like sliding screens of Katsura rikyu (an Imperial villa in Kyoot) and the Nijo castle. More than 650 patterns of hangi can be postcards or lamp shades; a new representation for a modern lifestyle.
